Terms & Cancellation Policy
The free trial
Every new school gets a 30-day free trial. You won't be charged anything when you register or add a card. Your trial runs for 30 full days from the date you register.
Billing after the trial
If you don't cancel before your trial ends, we automatically charge the card on file $34.99/month per school, and then again on the same day every month after that, until you cancel. This is standard for subscription software — the card is authorized at registration specifically so billing can start automatically once the trial ends, with no action required from you (and no surprise gap in service either).
Cancelling
You can cancel any time, for any reason — including any time during your free trial to avoid being charged at all. To cancel: use the "Manage billing" link in your portal under Admin → Term & Settings (this opens a secure Stripe page where you can cancel yourself), or contact PFACentral support and we'll cancel it for you. Cancelling stops future billing; it does not retroactively refund any payment already made.
Refunds
All payments are non-refundable. This includes partial months, unused time after cancellation, and downgrades. Since the trial gives you 30 full days to decide before any money changes hands, we don't offer refunds once a charge has gone through — please cancel before your trial ends if you don't plan to continue.
What happens if a payment fails
If a monthly charge fails (expired card, insufficient funds, etc.), your portal stays fully functional — we don't lock anyone out over a single failed charge. We automatically retry the payment several times over the following couple of weeks (this is standard practice across subscription software, including how most SaaS platforms handle it) and email the board admin so the card can be updated. If every retry fails and the subscription is ultimately canceled, the portal is then suspended — board, teacher, and parent logins are paused until the subscription is reactivated. Your data is never deleted just because a payment failed — reactivating restores full access.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time; the current version always applies going forward. Material changes that affect existing subscribers will be emailed to the board admin on file.
